Light Water Drums 2012 - parade route in the Sanctuary

The Sanctuary is a greenspace park within Hastings Park with walking trails and a small pond. It is located on the North side of Hastings Street, directly across from the Hastings Community Centre (3096 Hastings Street – south side), approximately halfway between Renfrew and Highway 1.

Note the event is open from 5:30pm and the parade will start at approximately 6pm lasting one hour with many activities in the community center – overall event completes at 9:30 – this is a family friendly event!

HOW TO GET TO THE EVENT:

By Bus:

Any Bus that travels along Hastings street past the PNE fairgrounds (#s 004 for example) will pass the Community Centre (South Side) – ask the driver to let you off near the Renfrew and Hastings intersection.

By Car:

There is no direct car access to the Sanctuary. Turn South from Hastings Street on to Lillooet Street to find street parking closest to the Community Centre – or there is a large public lot available two clocks East on Hastings Street that is a short walk from the site.

Walking:

Find the intersection at Renfrew and Hastings, walk past the runners' statue northeast into the PNE, to the first large building, the Garden Auditorium
